The Toyota Highlander is a midsize crossover SUV produced by Toyota. It is a taller, heavier version of the Toyota Camry.Announced in April 2000 at the New York Auto Show and arriving in late 2000 in Japan and January, 2001, in North America, the Highlander became the first car-based midsize SUV or midsize crossover. The Highlander is the crossover counterpart to the more rugged, truck-based midsize 4Runner and became Toyota's best-selling SUV before being surpassed by the smaller RAV4 in 2006.
Unable to use the Highlander name in Japan and Australia because of a trademarked Hyundai Terracan trim line, Toyota calls the vehicle the Toyota Kluger.
The Toyota Hilux is a series of compact pickup trucks produced and marketed by the Toyota Motor Corporation. Most countries used the Hilux name for the entire life of the series but in North America, the Hilux name was retired in 1976 in favor of Truck, Pickup Truck, or Compact Truck. In North America the popular option package, the SR5 (Sport Rally 5-Speed), was colloquially used as a model name for the truck, even though the option package was also used on other Toyota models like the Corolla. In 1984, the Trekker, the camper version of the Hilux, was renamed as the 4Runner in Australia and North America, and as the Hilux Surf in Japan. In 1995, Toyota introduced a new pickup model, the Tacoma in the United States, discontinuing the Hilux/Pickup there. The 4Runner is now a full SUV, and the more recent models do not resemble the Tacoma.
In spite of the name "Hilux", it was a highly luxurious vehicle only when compared to the Stout. Hilux was engineered and assembled by Hino Motors to fill a niche between the smaller Briska and the larger Stout in most markets or to replace them in some markets. For the North American market, the only body style was a regular cab short bed and all were rear-wheel drive. It used a typical truck setup of A-arms and coil springs in front and a live axle with leaf springs in back. A 4-speed manual transmission was standard.
When you are watching your favourite TV show, nobody wants to see 'to be continued'. This destroys the excitement and most of the time annoys you. It may sound unusual but this also happens in automotive industry. Don't worry, no one cuts the back end of a car and destroy your excitement. They do this through the design! Like Toyota did with the new Camry.
Recently, Toyota revealed the pictures of the new Camry. With each new Toyota, I always get excited to see a very unique design, however it didn't happen that often. Like new Camry, Toyota only revealed a small portion. The front is disappointing but rear is much better. Actually it could be better but, weird angle of stop light destroys the harmony! Sure, it is too early to comment and judge on a new car with small details but I wanted share my thoughts based on these parts ;)
The Kijang is a pick-up or minibus sold in Indonesia and Brunei, made by Toyota. "Kijang", meaning deer/muntjac in Indonesian, was first introduced in Indonesia in 1977 and it has become the most popular car in the country ever since[citation needed]. This car is also sold in other countries, and is known as the Unser in Malaysia (Innova for the fourth generation), Zace in Taiwan, Qualis and Innova in India, Nepal, and the Philippines, and Stallion and Condor in South Africa. The original Kijang is known as the Revo in the Philippines (see the Revo for the history of the Tamaraw and Tamaraw FX).
It is relatively affordable in the markets where sold when compared to four-wheel drive vehicles (the Kijang is a two-wheel drive) and features high seating capacity, large ground clearance and rugged suspension, popular features in an area with generally poor road quality and large extended families.
In Indonesia, typically the whole extended family climbs in before even short trips, just for the adventure, as opposed to true car-pooling. The family Kijang is treated with love and many get professionally detailed every month[citation needed]. Depending on a person's size, the vehicle can carry as many as 9-15 passengers[citation needed], since many of the countries the Kijang is sold in do not require safety belt usage at that time[citation needed].
The Toyota Innova is a Toyota-designed MPV i.e. being less than 4,600 mm (181.1 in) in length as per the European system of size classification, produced in Indonesia under supervision by Toyota Astra Motor since 2003. As with Toyota Kijang, which it replaced, the Toyota Innova is produced and first marketed in 2004 in Indonesia. Toyota Innova is part of Toyota's IMV program together with the Hilux Vigo pickup truck and the Fortuner SUV. Its official name in Indonesia is Toyota Kijang Innova, while for other countries it is simply Innova.
Powering the Innova is either a gasoline 2.0 liter 136 PS (100 kW) 1TR-FE VVT-i, a 2.7 liter (2TR-FE) version of the same, or a 2.5 liter 102 PS (75 kW) 2KD-FTV D4-D common rail variable geometry turbocharger diesel engine. Trim levels are J, E, G, and V. The 2.7 liter is only for the V, with automatic transmission. The Innova features a live rear axle and it is of front engined, rear wheel drive configuration. The newly added V variant adds ABS, leather seats and captain chairs.

Toyota Innova with a facelift
It has a new engine, different from the older Kijang gasoline engine. Unfortunately, while the new engine produces more power (2,000 cc) it is only capable of 6-8 kilometres on a litre of petrol (14.1-18.8 mpg-US). But after the minor change in 2007, the engine is now equipped with a closed loop combustion system, and based on information from the Auto Bild Indonesia test, it is now capable of 11-12 kilometres on one litre of petrol (about 27.0 mpg-US).
The Innova is also sold in India (replacing Toyota Qualis), Malaysia (replacing Toyota Unser), the Philippines (replacing Toyota Revo), Taiwan (replacing outdated Toyota Zace surf), Vietnam (replacing outdated Toyota Zace) and Thailand. Unlike some of the Innova's competition, such as the TATA Sumo Grande, the newly launched Tata Aria, Chevrolet Tavera or the Mahindra Xylo, the Innova looks more like a minivan — in fact, its styling can be said to be similar to Toyota's other MPV offerings, namely the USDM Toyota Sienna and the Toyota Previa. The Toyota Innova is also available in Brunei, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
An “extreme”, clean-technology project embodying 40 years of styling research and engineering celebrated by Italdesign Giugiaro in Geneva.
The “Quaranta” project is a concept car designed to celebrate Italdesign Giugiaro’s forty years of business in styling and technological research at the service of the automotive sector.
The Quaranta, world-premiered at the 2008 Geneva International Motor Show, is a synthesis of Italdesign Giugiaro’s unmatched experience of automotive design: from city cars to super sports-cars, from MPVs to medium-engined saloons up to and including luxury flagships and environment-friendly SUV, not to mention light/heavy duty commercial vehicles, in complete cooperation with leading manufacturers all over the world.
The Quaranta is an “extreme” product, an environment-friendly, 4WD super sports-car which incorporates a series of innovative aspects: its styling, but also its drive technology, which combines a hybrid engine with solar energy, and its internal layout which, despite its mid-mounted rear engine, can accommodate three adults and a child, also providing a generous luggage compartment. The idea which inspired the Quaranta project is that of the first single-volume concept car with central engine and drive. The original reference is to the 1968 Bizzarrini Manta which, at that time, represented a major breakthrough in styling, now adapted to state-of-the-art technology and enriched with Italdesign Giugiaro’s forty years experience of research.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a mini MPV that is currently produced by Japanese automaker Toyota. It was first introduced in 2008 and is still in production. It slots below the Toyota RAV4 to compete against small crossover SUVs like the Nissan Qashqai and Kia Soul, while also attracting buyers of mainstream family hatchbacks. Designed by Toyota ED², it debuted at the March 2008 Geneva Motor Show and went on sale shortly thereafter.

It is powered by a 1,329 cc petrol engine that produces 100 hp (75 kW) and 132 N·m (97 lb·ft), as well as a 90 hp (67 kW), 205 N·m (151 lb·ft) 1,364 cc turbo diesel. Front-wheel drive is standard, but the diesel model is also offered with an all-wheel drive option.
Over the past several years, the need has been rising for motor vehicles that take into consideration global warming and other environmental issues, while there has also been concern that there have been too few new sports cars that make the heart beat faster and that the time is right for a new generation of sports cars. In response to these needs, TMC has developed the FT-86 Concept, a sports car equipped with a 2,000cc, horizontally opposed, four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated gasoline engine that evokes the joy of driving a car and the pleasure of vehicle ownership. As the name "Future Toyota 86 Concept" implies, the FT-86 Concept, which will be exhibited at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, is a new 86 Toyota with a flash red finish. It is a compact, rear-wheel drive sports concept car that embodies speed and the excitement of driving that give cars their appeal as well as environmental performance. A Toyota Sports Car for a New Era when the Driver Plays the Main Role The FT-86 Concept is 4,160mm long, 1,760mm wide, and 1,260mm high with a wheelbase of 2,570mm, giving it a compact feeling that is easy for the driver to handle while able to accommodate four occupants. In addition to being light and having a low center of gravity, the FT-86 Concept boasts the handling of a racing car as well as a 6-speed manual transmission and ADVICS brakes.
